i don't mean to suck up, & if i tell you how awesome these things are,it's not about the sell. it's just that i wouldnt order anything i didn't already like.
avow # 13 $3.20
keith rosson is my favorite zine writer, and i say that with zines by two of my best mates in the catalogue. his writing is honest and awesome, and he's done art for submission hold, against me!, etc. this is the alphabet issue. G is for getting caught pulling it to the grind, Q is for quitting.
"Tattoos are like footnotes; this scar is it's own index. This one photo is it's own bibliography.”
applicant jesse reklaw $3.30
jesse found confidential applicant files (photos and recommendations) from a biology department circa '65-'75. and made them into an awesome zine.

box #1 pretentious inner turmoil $2.50
this is my own poetry zine from.. '03? i think?. it makes me squirmy just thinking about writing a blurb about it. so i'll just say that it's format is hella cute: folded into a pink&white matchbox.
coffeeshop crushes joint zine, usa $2.50
a beautifully put together zine all about, um, coffeeshop crushes. Annectdotes and comics and general cuteness. Because of this I will forgive americans for the fact that the only real coffee they have is at fucking starbucks. Anyway, moving on.
cola steph, au $2
cola? cola. cola! spef soy latte's most recent zine. hella hella hella cute photos, drawings, and words.

drown soda tiera, newcastle! $3.50
according to the this is not art website: “tiera is an artist and stenciller interested in surreptitious acts of subversion”. she also happens to be the person I argue with about cleaning the living room. drown soda is totally gorgeous artwank and collage. linky
Hic Jacet janaka, usa $8
this is no hastily photocopied typos&scribbles zine. Written by underground poet janaka, and put out by black ocean press, it’s all about his experiences working in a mortuary. I suppose the subject matter is morbid, but it’s beautiful too. Try not to look at the textbook eyelid stuffing picture for too long, though.
one story issues 1-4 me! free!
one story is one page/ story taken from my journal each issue. it comes out whenever i've got access to a printer, and is generally available on park benches anywhere i go.
paping various, us $6.41
holy motherfuck, paping is always a really attractive zine. This issue is about people’s relationships with their fathers. difficult, funny, and sad. drew gold has the cutest representation of a father running up debt in his name.
